A long-tailed weasel with a dark tail tip. Larger than the Ermine, with a relatively longer tail (more than 44% head-body length). Variable amount of white on hind legs and feet. Northern populations molt to a white winter coat. Some populations in Florida and the southwest have white or yellow facial markings (leading to the name Bridled Weasel).
