Description Adult has streaked gray-brown upperparts, faint white supercilium, and bolder white "mustache"; ear coverts and malar stripe are dark. Underparts are pale, heavily streaked on breast, with yellow flush on belly and undertail coverts. Tail is reddish. Juvenile is similar, but duller.
Dimensions Length: 7 1/2 -8 1/2" (19-22 cm)
Range New England, Southwest
Discussion Mainly Mexican species; scarce visitor to southeastern Arizona woodlands (Jun-Sep).
