Family: Icteridae, Blackbirds and Orioles view all from this family

Description Adult has mostly orange-yellow plumage, but with black throat, black spots on breast, and black tail and back with white patch at base of primaries and tertials; note also the orange-yellow "shoulder." Juvenile is similar, but black elements of plumage are paler, particularly on the back.

Range Florida

Discussion Colorful Mexican oriole, introduced to Florida and now established in gardens there.
