Description The Astarte Fritillary (Boloria astarte) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found from northwestern North America to northeastern Siberia. It is found as fas south as Montana and Washington.
The wingspan is 1 3/8-1 7/8" (35-48 mm). The butterfly flies from mid-June to mid-August.
The larvae feed on Spotted Saxifrage (Saxifraga bronchialis).

Habitat Alpine & subalpine habitats, Arctic habitats.
Range Western Canada, Alaska, Rocky Mountains.
