Cascade Golden-mantled Ground Squirrel Spermophilus saturatus

Track Tracks are usually seen in dust; hindprints are about 1 1/2" (37 mm) long when heel shows, with 5 toes; foreprints smaller and rounder, with 4 toes showing.

Sign Den is a burrow 3" (75 mm) wide, usually concealed under a log, stump, or boulder. Scat: Droppings are variable, usually elongated, 1/2" (12 mm) pellets.
