Track In mud, hindprint 3/4" (19 mm) long, with 5 toes printing; foreprint 1/2" (13 mm) long, with 4 toes printing. Hindprints ahead of foreprints; distance between individual walking prints approximately 1 3/4 –3" (45–75 mm).
Sign Large house of sticks, cactus parts, and other debris under cactus or other plant. Nest, inside house, 6–10" (15–25 cm) in diameter. Well-worn trails leading from house.
