Track Tracks are about 1/2" (12 mm) long and seldom noticed; hindprints have 5 toes, foreprints have 4 toes.
Sign Runway systems are not as extensive as those of the Meadow Vole, but are easier to find on the forest floor as they wind through leaf litter or beds of moss and under logs or rocks; these passageways often contain bits of cut green plants.
Nest: 3–4" (75–100 mm) in diameter; constructed of plant material in clumps, stumps, hollow logs, or old bird nests.
