Description Hippocampus erectus is a Seahorse from the Western Atlantic. It is among the most common seahorses in the aquarium trade, and is successfully bred in captivity by several breeders. It grows to a size of 19 centimetres (7.5 in) in length.
Dimensions Up to 5" (13 cm).
Habitat Estuaries, tidal flats & salt marshes, Ocean or bay shallows.
Range New England, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Florida, Texas, Eastern Canada.
