Family: Asteraceae, Aster view all from this family

Description A woolly, clump-forming plant of mountain meadows.
Flowers: tiny, whitish-woolly tufts of minute bristles, in rounded 1/2" (1.5 cm) clusters. Bloom July–September.
Leaves: elliptical to linear, whitish-woolly.
Height: 7" (17.5 cm).

Habitat Alpine and subalpine meadows.

Range British Columbia and Alberta south to Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming.
