Family: Coreidae, Leaf-footed Bugs view all from this family

Description The Leaf-footed Bug is a member of the family Coreidae. These medium- to large-sized insects, generally more than 3/8" (9 mm) long, have leaflike expansions of the hind tibiae. Their hind femora are often also swollen and bear heavy spines. These bugs have 4-segmented antennae, large compound eyes, a pair of simple eyes, and many parallel veins on their wings. All suck plant juices, and give off a foul-smelling secretion when disturbed.
