Description Yellow/greenish-brown. Dark, wormlike patterns. Smooth skinned. Front feet toe pads more prominent.


Dimensions 1.9-3.2cm. (3/4-1 1/4")


Voice Short chirps.


Breeding Spring. 15 eggs laid.


Habitat Caves & ravines near springs.


Range Davis Mountains in west Texas south into Mexico.


Discussion Nocturnal. Hides under leaf litter during the day. Feeds on insects, spiders and crustaceans - anything that fits in its mouth. Jumps when threatened.
