Description Mottled gray/green resembling bark. Thighs yellow/orange.
Dimensions 3.2-6cm. (1 1/4-2 3/8")
Voice Trill, voiced in spring/summer.
Breeding April-August. Warmer souther parts till winter.
Habitat Woodland trees near water.
Range Ontario through Maine, Florida, Texas. Through Oklahoma to Manitoba.
Discussion Very similar to Common Gray treefrog. Indistinguishable from appearance. Cope's has a faster-paced trill. Nocturnal, leaves trees at night to breed and join a chorus.
