Description Black Prairie Clover or Black Dalea is a 1-3 ft., rounded or often spreading, thornless shrub. Delicately compound leaves adorn the many forked branches. Magenta, pea-like flowers occur in terminal spikes.
Habitat Dry, scrubby, limestone hills.
Range S.e. Oklahoma, south and west to w. Texas, New Mexico, and n. Mexico.
