Description This variable perennial forms solid patches on dry soil and makes an interesting ground cover. The leaves are narrow, mostly basal and matted, grayish-green with fine woolly hairs. Clusters of small, soft, whitish to pink flower heads, which resemble a cat's paw, form on a solitary stem 1-12 in. above the basal leaves.
