Family: Plethodontidae, Lungless Salamanders view all from this family



Description Black with white spots. Yellow marking from chin to front legs on underside. 16 coastal grooves.


Dimensions 9-11cm. (3 1/2-4 3/8")


Breeding Little known, probably similar to other 'lungless' salamanders.


Habitat Temperate forests, rocky areas and caves.


Range Caddo Mountains through to Arkansas.


Discussion Deit consists of small invertebrates. Similar to the Rich Mountain Salamander and the Slimy Salamander. Lungless, respirates through its skin and pores on the tongue.
