Family: Plethodontidae, Lungless Salamanders view all from this family

Description Pinkish-white with red gills. Eye vestiges visible, though blind. Broad, rounded snout. 12-13 costal grooves.

Dimensions 5.1-7.6cm. (2-3")

Breeding Relatively unknown. Larval characteristics retained.

Habitat Inland karsts, caves, and subterranean habitats (other than caves).

Range Georgia. Parts of n. Florida.

Discussion Few in captivity, so little is known. Spends its life underground.
