Track Hindprint 1 1/4" (31–33 mm) long, with 5 toes printing; foreprint slightly smaller, with 4 toes printing.
Sign Burrow mounds are less conspicuous than those of Black-tailed Prairie Dog, and are looser and not tamped down as thoroughly. An occasional burrow may have no discernible mound at all, probably because the loose earth has washed away.
