Description Has rich green back and wings, grading to blue on nape, above eye, and on cheeks; face is otherwise black, except for white patch in front of eye. From above, tail is blue-green with yellow outer feathers; from below, appears mainly yellow. Underparts are otherwise mostly pale green. Juvenile is duller than adult. Calls include bell-like tones and insectlike, chattering notes.
