You're a Roadrunner!
Because females produce offspring, they usually require more food than males. Thus it's often to a male's advantage to offer food to a potential mate. In the case of the Greater Roadrunner, a male first captures and kills a choice food item such as a snake, lizard, or mouse. Then, during the pre-mating display, the male dangles the tasty morsel tantalizingly beyond the female's reach. Only after copulation is completed will the gift be passed to the female.
