Hummingbird like insect

I have noticed the past couple of years an insect, I believe it is an insect. That looks and behaves just like a hummingbird. I now it is not a hummingbird, because it is to small to be a hummingbird, also I notice it has wings like a bee and has colorings like a bee, then again it flies and hovers like a hummingbird.
