Bald Eagles

Hi; I'm back with another question that may be kinda silly....."Our" bald eagles have left the Sterling area of the Rock River, and possibly the Clinton area of the Mississippi River. Where do they go for the summer...Do they go south or north ? If I were going with them, I would choose North, since I don't like hot weather. Regards, Helen Morgan

“Your” bald eagles have probably gone north. Not because the weather is cooler, but because the northern habitat is better for requirements for nesting and raising young. Their will be more food for them, now that the northern lakes have thawed, and the large trees around the northern lakes and rivers will offer them better nesting sites.
