Mediterranean Gecko

What is the life span of the Mediterranean Gecko? Where does it go during the winter? How can I help young geckos I find inside the school I work at?

Wildlife Expert - David Herlocker

There is very little information on the longevity of lizards, and the Mediterranean Gecko is no exception. I would guess that they only live a few years in the wild, but that in captivity they can be kept alive for at least ten years under optimal conditions.

The Geckos you find at your school are probably perfectly happy to stay wherever you find them. This species is not native to North America, they have thrived here because they adapt so easily to urban life in warm climates.
