It is probably not a good idea to try to keep this snake as a pet, you will have trouble finding it food during the winter, and I’m sure you’d feel awful if it just wasted away and died in your care. Baby snakes taken from the wild usually do not adjust well to captivity, so you should try to find a woodpile or a rotting log where this snake can get to a safe place to hibernate before the weather gets too cold.
