Mackerel

Dear Sir, What are the difference between Mackerel and Jack Mackerel. Are they both from the same species? Thanks!

Wildlife Expert - Ken Burton

The Jack Mackerel is more appropriately called the Mackerel Jack because it is a jack, not a mackerel. There are many species in the mackerel family, including the Wahoo, tunnies, tunas, bonitos, mackerels, and Albacore.
