Fish

What type of fish is a butter fish. I've searched and can't find any specific fish with that name. If I'm in the fish market I see it labeled as a butter fish. It has a reddish color with spots on the face area.

The butter fish or butterfish (Poronotus triacanthus), also known as the dollarfish, shiner, skipjack, sheepshead, and harvestfish, is a member of the Stromateidae.
