outdoor ivy-like plant

Hello Cathy, I am looking for the identity of an Ivy that grows outdoors. The leaf is similar to a maple leaf shape. It's green with white edges. It grows about 6 to 10 inches and grows great in the shade. The north side of a home works well. I cannot find it anywhere and no one knows what I am talking about. I only know of one home that has it, but I do not know the people.
